Hemblington Primary School's Extension Plans Approved
Hemblington Primary School has received planning permission for a classroom extension, according to a recent announcement. This development is part of a broader initiative by the school, managed by the Broad Horizons Education Trust, to enhance its facilities.
The proposed extension, located near the back of the main building, will be a single-storey addition to an existing classroom. The current room will seamlessly connect to the extension, creating a spacious and interconnected learning environment. This design aims to accommodate the expansion of the pre-school provision, providing additional space for students.
The extension is strategically positioned more than five meters from the site boundary, ensuring compliance with planning regulations. The Broadland District Council's planners reviewed the designs and found them to be appropriate and in line with their guidelines.
In their approval report, the planners noted, 'The proposed extension is designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing building, maintaining a height of less than five meters from the site boundary. Additionally, the floorspace of the extension will not exceed 250 square meters.'
This development highlights the school's commitment to providing a modern and spacious learning environment for its students, while adhering to local planning regulations.
